The Welch Allyn IT 3800 Scanner
works exceptionally well in hand held scanning applications such as workstation
or in-store inventory. It operates from a tabletop holder in manual trigger mode
or may be placed in an adjustable stand for automated operation.
The IT3800
can be used indoors or outside in bright sunlight. Typical applications are WIP,
retail point of sale, in-store inventory, document management, transaction
processing of bar coded receipts, payment counter, outdoor sales kiosks, and
reading of vehicle registrations.
Linear
imaging technology is used to set a new standard for hand held data collection
by combining a bright, sharp aiming line with high resolution imaging to deliver
exceptional reading performance. Each hand held device offers keyboard wedge,
serial port, non decoded laser compatible output, or wand emulation interfaces.
This hand held devise also uses an enhanced depth-of-field that easily covers
the full range of hand held scanning uses in point- of -sale and general purpose
scanning applications.
The IT3800
connects to all popular PCs and many specialty terminals, as well as portable
data terminals. It also reads "real-world" bar codes with printer
induced bar space variation, fading, short quiet zones, low contrast, dot matrix
printing, and multi-part forms. A non decoded mode can also be used with
external wedge decoders and portable terminals or other devices with decoding
capability. Standard cables are used to reduce replacement expense.
This handle
is smoothly contoured to fit all hand sizes, and has a soft grip area to add
comfort and prevent slipping. Its aesthetically pleasing look surrounds a
rugged, durable construction, built for demanding work environments. It works
